action-adventure. Many of the titles feature the industry’s top technology, including the Unreal, Quake
III and Lithtech engines, as well as the upcoming Max Payne and Nocturne engines.

worldwide digital elevation terrain model and true satellite terrain imagery. The simulation also features
ultra-realistic interior and avionics systems, detailed to each aircraft's original configuration, as well as
interactive air traffic control, including full voice support, global positioning system navigation and
realistic air traffic.
Terminal Reality’s Nocturne, a 3D action horror game, places players in the realm of classic 1930s pulp
action and uses advanced technology to create a world of brooding shadows, suspense and terror.
Players become a member of a team dedicated to cleansing the earth of the most vile creatures and
venture through cinematic landscapes ranging from a small western town to the deepest bowels of hell.
Gamers are drawn into a world of utmost realism surrounded by dense, moving fog and the gleaming red
eyes of the most depraved monsters of myth and legend, including vampires and werewolves.
KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child is a 3D first-person perspective shooter developed by Third
Law Interactive. The game offers a demonic world of mystery and horror where the player must battle
hideous monstrosities spawned by the conception an unborn evil, the Nightmare Child, whose arrival
has perverted the fabric of reality. The player begins as a mere mortal and progressively acquires the
powers of The Elder, a supernatural being. The Elder is embodied by four alter egos -- the Demon, the
Starbearer, the Beast King and the Celestial, all KISS characters -- who together prevent the unraveling
of the universe. The game is an intense first-person shooter where each KISS-character represents a
different flavor of game experience, each having unique locations, challenges and powers. KISS Psycho
Circus: The Nightmare Child is utilizing the LithTech engine.
Max Payne, a third person shooter co-developed by Remedy and 3D Realms, puts gamers in the shoes
of Max Payne, a hard-boiled, fugitive undercover cop who is being framed for the murder of his boss. A
mission to revenge his slaughtered family sends him on a rampage through the criminal underworld of
New York City. Max goes up against a horde of stone cold murdering mobsters, drug-enhanced
butchers, bad cops, professional assassins, corrupt politicians and other diabolical masterminds hiding
in the city's heart in this intense 3D action shooter.

Gathering of Developers, a developer-driven computer and video game publisher, is planning an
apocalyptic E3. Going against trade show convention, the company will be located at The Promised Lot,
across from the LA Convention Center's main entrance on the corner of Pico and Figueroa. There the
company will showcase eight games: Delphine Software’s Darkstone, DMA Design's Grand Theft Auto
2, Terminal Reality’s Nocturne and FLY!, Ritual Entertainment’s Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2, Third Law
Interactive’s KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child and Rune from Human Head Studios and Epic
Games. Max Payne, the much-anticipated 3D shooter from Remedy Entertainment and 3D Realms, will
be present through never-before-seen game video.
Darkstone, a 3D RPG developed by Delphine Software immerses gamers in a medieval world in pursuit
of seven magical crystals to empower a mystical orb. Attaining this mystical object is essential to the
ultimate defeat of an evil, horrific dragon attempting to annihilate the world’s population. To reach this
goal, players must resolve scenario-led quests that mix action and adventure experiences with emotion,
reflection and depth. Through 32 unique dungeons, players confront monsters and creatures, such as
lizardmen, poisonous scorpions and vampires, as well as underworld bosses, including the Prince of
Darkness.
Grand Theft Auto 2 is the explosive sequel to the original bad-boy PC game Grand Theft Auto.
Developed at DMA Design by the same team that created the original, Grand Theft Auto 2 promises to
launch gamers on another wild ride of their lives. Grand Theft Auto 2 offers players complete driving
freedom and more innovative and controversial gameplay to create havoc through the cities. Expect law-
bending tendencies such as car-theft, hit and runs, faster police chases, more SWAT teams and
complete urban chaos. While the interactivity, freedom and attention to detail of the cities in the original
game was praised, Grand Theft Auto 2 promises to create a much more complex, living city.
Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.2, which stands for Federation Assigned Ketogenic Killzone, from Ritual
Entertainment is a third-person 3D action-adventure game based on the upcoming sequel to the
animated film, Heavy Metal. Featuring art and music from Kevin Eastman's movie, the game is set in
the Melting Pot Universe thirty years after the movie ends. The player controls Julia, also called the
StarStrider, as she fights to defend her homeworld Eden2, from the marauding Gith Industries
despoilers. The game combines Tomb Raider-esque exploration and puzzles with a unique
fighting-game style combat system and uses the Quake III: Arena engine.
Rune is a 3D game of action and adventure, steeped in a blend of Norse mythology and high-fantasy.
Developed by Human Head Studios and Epic Games, Rune transports gamers into Dark Ages, when
the Vikings were the conquerors of a cold, dismal world and paganism ruled all of the northern lands.
Stepping into the role of Ragnar, a rugged young warrior, players are challenged to fight off Nordic
creatures and uncover an evil perpetrator annihilating the Viking population. Rune combines melee
combat and exploration with a colossal story line and an active environment to recreate a period in
history characterized by savagery and the sword.
