Front Office Football: The Sequel
Date: May 14th
The updated version, slated for release in mid August, has the same look
and feel as the original. The game is littered with new features, however.
Gamers now have the option of calling the plays during a game. A new
training camp mode has been added and several new statistics have been
included such as “key blocks” so that coaches can gauge the effectiveness
of an offensive lineman. Team chemistry is also a factor in the sequel and
coaches will have to work to find the right combination of players in order
to get the most out of his team.
EA has the NFLPA license so the real players and their salaries will be
included. The game will sell for $19.99 and will only be available via the EA
Sports website as a direct download.
Jim Gindin, the mastermind behind FoF, has been retained by EA Sports
and will continue to be the driving force behind the game.
Who says EA Sports only cares about polygons, frame rates, and 3d
support? Today, EA Sports announced plans to publish an updated version
of Solecismic Software’s Front Office Football. FoF, a text-based
General Manager sim released last year, was an overwhelming success
within the sports sim community.
