Master of Orion III
In a
game that will be rich in construction, diplomacy, espionage, political intrigue and the values of leadership, Master of Orion III will allow people
to experience the social and political consequences of their deeds and policies, not just economic and military ones. Political opposition
factions, rebels, traitors and even disgruntled citizens might spawn a revolution.
Master of Orion III will support up to eight people in a galaxy more than three times larger than that of the second game in the series. It will
also feature turn-based gaming that will have all participants planning their moves at the same time under deadline. Space combat will be
performed in real-time as gamers use limited information to maneuver their ships and attempt to locate enemy forces before being detected.
Cunning and bold leadership will also have its part in battle. As technology progresses, the very nature of warfare in space will change;
therefore, people must grow and change their tactics in order to remain victorious. Master of Orion III, being published through Hasbro
Interactive, will feature a wide range of online and solitaire options, eight distinct alien races, immersive science-fiction graphics and a simple
user interface. The game will be available in the Quarter 3 2001 for Windows 95 and higher PCs.
